Horses @ New Hope

Horses @ New Hope – we exist to share the love of Christ by meeting people’s physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs using God’s creatures, horses, in Equine Assisted Activities. We give beginner riding lessons and teach horsemanship skills to special needs participants. If you are looking for an opportunity to serve outdoors, with horses and children and a great group of loving, encouraging volunteers, this might be perfect for you. Everyone serving in our program is a volunteer – even the horses! Our gracious horse owners trailer their horses in & out on Saturday mornings. Human volunteers serve as side walkers (walk alongside horse/rider to assist rider), horse leaders, grooms, arena set up/clean up, greeters, and other miscellaneous ways. Must be at least 16 years old to be a horse leader or side walker. Horses & their owners are needed, too!

We’ll teach you – no experience necessary! We’d love YOU to be a part with us! Please contact Stephanie Angileri at stephaniea@newhopebc.org for more information.
